my mama always said

February 4th, 2009

My mama always said: “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.”

Okay, truth is, my mother, whom I called mom, not mama, did not say that, but it’s the kind of thing moms and mamas say. And the sentiment still holds.

Today, I’m feeling grumpy and spewy about boneheads in our government and the media who do their bidding but mostly the boneheads who seem to be willing to torpedo, oh, you know, the country, your future, my future, my kid’s future, to score political points. And Obama! He’s like the bad boyfriend, keeping me nervous until the last minute until he comes through at the end and is the good boyfriend. But right now I want him to kick some ass. And get the boneheads to pass the stimulus! I’m anxious and pissed off because I cannot believe this is even up for debate. Boneheads! And that is me being polite.

So, as you can see. I have no kind words for anyone today.

So I stayed silent.

Just thought I’d let you know why.

Also, I’m busy finishing up my new novel, too.

And took the kid to swimming lessons. She’s getting really good.

I’ll try to have something constructive or stupid or witty to say tomorrow.

In the mean time, I need Jon Stewart.
